Once a year, our team pencils in a company-wide pause on client work to donate our marketing services to local nonprofits who need it most. We stay awake around the clock for 24 hours straight to create meaningful impact that we believe will serve Middle Tennessee (can you see why it's our favorite time of year?).
This year for our 15th CreateAthon, we were lucky enough to partner with three organizations dedicated to promoting new beginnings in our community: Boundless Fellowship Program, Nashville International Center for Empowerment, and Amelia's Closet. Here's what we dreamed up for these amazing teams:
Boundless Fellowship Program
Their mission:
The fellowship program was built to provide opportunity for Black & Brown folks in marketing, consulting, and tech—three industries that have historically been extremely homogenous. Their goal through this program is to create access for underrepresented groups and empower them to realize their magic.
What they needed:
- Develop a name and brand guide for the fellowship program that conveys its mission and functionalities.
- Create marketing assets to attract qualified job candidates into the program's talent pipeline and generate awareness of the program to prospective partner organizations.
- Build a website that explains the program's mission and guides users to get involved.
What we did:
Created a video to tell their brand story in their own voices and attract talent to their pipeline.
Developed a name, brand, and website that laddered up to the program's vision.
Built an app concept to optimize the fellowship recruitment experience for mobile.
Nashville International Center for Empowerment
Their Mission:
NICE’s mission is to ensure refugees and immigrants achieve their full potential now and for generations to come. They work to empower refugees and immigrants by providing: vibrant leadership, strong community relationships, sustainable service programs, a respectful resource center, and robust partnerships in Middle Tennessee and across the country. The United States is currently in the midst of a historic effort to resettle over 50k Afghan evacuees. Nashville is welcoming over 300 Afghans in the coming months, with NICE resettling half of those to our city.
What they needed:
- Grow their donor and volunteer support network by creating a clear call-to-action on new marketing collateral.
- Generate mass awareness in the community in addition to boots-on-the-ground advocacy.
- Build their digital, visual, and written marketing abilities to appeal to civic and faith groups.
What we did:
Worked to secure media space for OOH ads that raise awareness for NICE's mission.
Created an informational video to expand their donor network and community of advocates.
Developed the digital and visual identity of the brand with an updated logo to accompany a brand new website.
Their mission:
Amelia’s Closet is a faith-based organization that helps reduce poverty in our communities by preparing women for financial independence. It has been documented that gainful employment helps empower women that are otherwise vulnerable to poverty, homelessness, human trafficking, domestic violence, and criminal activity. And Amelia's Closet provides professional apparel and hope to deserving women entering employment opportunities. They want to help women feel valued, confident, and hopeful as they soar to new heights.
What they needed:
- Increase awareness among the local community with a communications plan and video.
- Revamp their website with a UX makeover to make it fully functional and easily navigable.
- Refresh their logo and add updated photography to their website.
What we did:
Refreshed their website, created a brand video, updated photography to generate awareness, and designed the following poster series to help tell their story:
